Insights is where ESTI posts a monthly flip market report and short guides to judging a deal. Find it at Insights, in the footer and in the menu.

The market reports look at every ESTI city and compare them using the same daily Profit Picks numbers as ESTI's city pages: how many picks each city has, and the typical estimated profit and ROI of its top picks. Charts show the cities with the most picks and the best typical estimated ROI. A city with only a few picks isn't ranked on ROI, because a handful of homes says little.

• Every number is an ESTI estimate for homes for sale on the day the report names, not an appraisal
• Reports never show owner names or home addresses, only numbers for whole cities
